Mold Remediation Prep Method
If you ever needed to do a remodel at your current home or need to deal with mold remediation, this is one prep method that we highly recommend.
During remodeling and mold remediation, particles can easily blow throw all the cracks and areas that air goes through. And this is the most frustrating part that you don't want these particles get onto your furnitures or things that won't be easy to clean. Even outside of the remediation area.
So there are 3 steps that you can easily do and make your post-construction cleaning easier.
- move furnitures, carpets and any personal items away. Ideally you want to put them into containers (plastic or metal) that you can easily wipe/clean afterwards.
- use plastic wraps (link) cover all the unmoved items fully. And use zipper doors (link) to seal the door. This will be very hardy if you need to access it during the process.
- Make sure turn off HVAC system or you can turn if on, but make sure you do a proper air duct cleaning after cleaning.
Admittedly, this is little extra setup time involved that you have to do on your own, but the time saved on cleanup at the end is absolutely worth it.
